The DC Period Project is a design project created as a mentee through the AIGA SHINE Design Program of Spring 2019. The DC Period Project works to empower homeless and in-need people through choice of menstrual hygiene products while educating and advocating to end the stigma of menstruation.

Brand Guidelines

The DC Period Project empowers homeless and in-need individuals through choice of menstruation products. Our teams puts together 'Period Packs' through monetary & product donations from the local community.

 

These Period Packs are created & distributed by our volunteers in Washington, D.C.

Digital & Print Marketing Materials

Although our marketing plan relies heavily on social media outreach & digital advertising, we also understand the importance of local visibility. One of our marketing strategies includes using tags at local stores in menstrual product aisles encouraging shoppers to buy extra items to bring to check-out.

This is an example of the tear-off sheet that would be attached to all donation drop-offs for shoppers to take with them to learn more about the organization.
